I had a tach that did that. It ended up being something wrong inside the tach. I guess its time for you to up grade to real gauges!

Tach bouncing up or down? Have you put on external tach to check reading agaist the dash mounted? If the tach bounces down your loosing the signal from the pickup inside the dist. If the tach bounces up soming going on inside the tach.

tach bouncing
not quite sure where to put this post... well, my tachometer will intermittantly bounce, and not read accurately. any ideas on this? the jeep seems to run ok.. just a really strange thing going on with the rpm gauge :confused:
