Tranny leak. (almost the last one)

So when i was fixing a leak in my transfer case, i started a leak from my tranny output shaft. now i have a slow leak coming from the vents where the transfer case bolts to the tranny. i know those vents are there for some reason...but would it be so bad to just RTV them and be done with it?
