  • Modifying XJ front drive shaft for use on TJ!

Well picked up a pretty decent looking XJ front CV driveshaft for $50 from a local Jeeper. Ever seen one modified for use as a rear CV driveshaft in a Wrangler? Seems like a great idea and that's what he was going to use it for until he sold the Jeep .

PS. Don't be too sad as he picked up an awesome diesel Blazer for $700 with power doors and windows !

I've got one on the rear of mine right now. Only had to cut 2-3" off it to make it fit.
It'll be my back up once it's all said and done.

      Which driveshaft are you using?

      Who modded your XJ driveshaft?
      How much did it cost?
Do you have vibes with it?
Why are you going to be using it as a backup? weaker?

I modified it, so it didn't cost anything. Won't know about vibes until I get the Jeep running.
It'll be the back up because the old Six States shaft that I ran before will be retubed with thicker tubing for a stronger primary shaft
