Yep the subject is correct.
I want to swap out my original 1979 304 camed motor w/11, 000 miles on the rebuild for a 258 6 banger.
No I'm not on drugs.
The 304 idles w/15-20 psi of oil pressure & 50-55 psi @ 55 to 65 mph. No leaks & doesnt burn any oil, tight motor. (for sale)
A friend of mine is going to give me a 258 all I need is to do a crank kit for it & get a cam.
I want to boost the H.P. as much as possiable, so any ideas on the cam?
I will run a MSD ignition along w/the MC-2100 carb & swap out my QT for a Dana-300.
I will be running w/the Th-400 tranny also.
Any ideas?
I don't want to go FI.
