alright, need a newer rear axle. I really want a D44 but they are becoming harder and harder to find. Plus getting a D44 would mean regearing(i have the shitty 3.07). so i was reading and i found that newer C 8.25 have 29 spline axles and i belive my D35( 1987) has 27 splines. and the D44 has something like 30??? obviously the D44 would be my best choice but. how would a newer 29 spline chrysler 8.25 from a manual trans xj with 3.07 gears hold up to 31s and a auto locker? worth it or not?
oh yea, cash is finally starting to come in(found a job reffin football and bball will start soon), but most D44s are going for around 400+regearing the front axle to match the ratio, which wouldnt be a bad thing....what do yall think?? :confused:
