Looking for opinions on ARB dana 30 front covers. Do think they help keeping the housing from flexing?

I'm guessing this was the problem you had Saturday? Missed you out at FITD. Mitch mentioned you were having some front end trouble.

Yea how do you break a R&P in Rattlesnake canyon in the sand? Just good luck I guess. If I had made it to the Hammers I would of had a good reason for breaking it.

                Art,

Curtis just tried to follow me on some of those off trail extra credit things. I drove right on through. Of course I broke a front leaf spring at Means Dry Lake! And no I didn't make it to the Hammers!!!!

That is how these things happen right one day you beat the snot out of it and the next day it breaks out of the blue

I have been very happy with my ruffstuff cover. Its super beef, but alot lighter on the wallet than the ARB

I think a heavy duty cover is essential to reducing flex in the housing when under severe torque loads. It helps tie it all together. I run a SOLID cover front and rear, and has held up well and takes a beating.

make sure it is set up correctly in the first place with proper pre-load.

I'm sort of surprised that TombRaider didn't chime in on this one. Josh told me that his ARB diff cover had a problem dissipating heat under highway conditions. I got the impression that they really were not made for street use.
